For this lesson students were put into groups (since my class has only 9 people I just split the class in half) each group, of four people, works on a different treaty. Since my class only had two groups I had them focus on treaty 4 and 6 because those are the primary ones in Saskatchewan. The assignment was a majority research, with the students working together to find the answers based on resources provided to them on my classroom blog. The lesson took two classes to do the research and put together, and half of one class to present. The point of this lesson was to have the students look at the treaties, and than gain an understanding of the unjust treatment of Indigenous people. Using Edmodo the students completed an assessment using three articles about struggles of First Nations in Canada. This lesson went really well, except the assessment caused some confusion.
