The second lesson in the unit is misrepresenting data. I had the students read page 18-22 in the Mathlinks 8 textbook. Afterwards as a class we went through the examples that are found in the textbook. The students found some of the ideas, such as collapsing the graph and changing increments more confusing so we did multiple examples around these misrepresenting techniques. The section was broken into two days with the first lesson focusing on examples and the second lesson focusing on textbook questions. The students grasped the assignment with all of them doing quite well. I did have to spend some extra time reviewing how the students ways to create a misrepresented graph, and how you could not change the information, only change the way that it is shown.
