1.2 Creating Designs

The second lesson in my Coordinates and Design unit is creating designs. The lesson is based around the idea that using a coordinate grid (or Cartesian Plane) designs can be created using plots and simple directions. The lesson went well but it needs to be specified that all vertices need to be labelled, including those that are mid-point in a line. Doing a full example, and explaining my thought process would have been more beneficial to the students than doing a multiple examples that they mostly understood. Some of the assignment requires to use multiple colours, have students get pencil crayons before class.  The students MUST use rulers. For question 12, go over how formula P=2L+2W works, where L=X, and W=Y, have students include evidence of 3 examples of how they made the coordinates work.
